While the great religious people of Iran were crying, beating their chests and heads and mourning the martyrdom of Imam Husain (a.s.) with their hearts full of love for him, they witnessed, to their surprise, very nasty, dirty and shameful actions by some individuals. They saw, to their disbelief, how some people violated the sanctity of a holy being that is revered and respected by all human beings. They cheered and whistled during mourning for Imam Husain (a.s.). To their amazement, the people of Iran observed that a small group of people did blasphemous acts, violated the sanctities of the religion, the established principles of the revolution and the great trust of Imam Khomeini, i.e. Wilayat-e Faqih (governance of the jurist), and they didn’t hold back from attacking mourners in the streets and damaging their properties. We all saw that how this folk with such a foolish action revived the hope of the arrogant powers and aspirations of the unbelievers, thanks are due to Allah, the great, vigilant and pious nation of Iran never let such actions continue; the true children of Islam and Quran and soldiers of Ashura shall never allow this drum to be beaten again. The respected religious authorities, the vigilant and insightful clerics will never be silent and will not give up supporting revolution, Islam, the system and the great leader. As a simple student of the Religion, I announce my extreme abhorrence against the violation of sanctity on the part of some vandals in the current year’s Ashura and I advise all political groups and wings to be conscious and think about preserving the Islamic system with good judgment, acumen, unity and adherence to the principles of the revolution, especially the principle of government of jurists and be aware that any failure in this regard would be an unforgivable sin. I appeal all lovers of the great Imam and the revolution to declare their abhorrence against this incident and detach themselves from miscreants and violators of sanctity. Without doubt, being silent in these circumstances amounts to accompanying people who are bent on rejecting the religion and destroying the Islamic government. I pray to God, the Exalted, for the dignity and glory of Islam, Iran and the revolution.
